"The last thing you'd expect to see when stepping across the threshold of this typical London redbrick is a palm and fern-laden courtyard nestled at the heart of the ground floor. It sets the tone for a space that's defined by organic textures - think polished plaster, sisal and oak - and spherical shapes," writes Page, in the May 2024 edition.

The article went on to highlight the unexpected client brief - glazing reminiscent of the house in the movie Parasite and The Vawdrey House's ability to satisfy planning with a split level roof concept.  A game changing move was to convince the client to move the master ensuite dressing room to the top floor and give the children run of the first floor of the home.
